This two-week 9-1-1Basic Telecommunicator Course, "BTC" and Emergency Medical Dispatch, "EMD" course provides the basic knowledge, skills, and experience to understand the functional operation of an emergency communications system and their role and responsibilities within the emergency communications system 9-1-1Course 
The State of New Jersey requires all EMDs to obtain a BLS/CPR Certification.
